Holy Ground

This oil was the first oil that Holy Spirit led me to make using resin and to hand grind the myrrh using motar and pastle. As I was in the process of making the oil Holy Spirit instructed me on how much of the ingredients to add to the oil. These instructions were given to me alongside an assignment to blow the shofar and anoint the land using this oil in Iowa. 

This anointing oil contains myrrh and cassia. The Holy Spirit gave me these specific ingredients to anoint the land. 

Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel. Every place  that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses. Joshua 1:2-3 ESV

Myrrh was a highly valued spice and was given as a gift when the three wise men visited Jesus(Matthew 2:11). Queen Esther was purified using myrrh oil for the first six months in preparation for her to meet the king(Esther 2:12). Myrrh was also an ingredient in the holy anointing oil used to consecrate the Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant(Exodus 30:25-38).

Cassia was an ingredient used in the holy anointing oil and used to anoint kings, priests and their garments. Cassia has a spiritual meaning of devotion and consecration, representing being stripped of pride and having a servant's heart.
