You can read the beautiful story of Mary how she poured oil on Jesus' feet, a sinner who came into a room knowing that others would judge her but she came any way to pour her love on Jesus the best way she knew how with her most precious treasure an expensive bottle of perfume in Mark 14:3-9 and John 12:1-8, prior to His crucifixion.

John 4:24 says we are to worship God in spirit and truth.

In biblical times perfume was a luxury item. Spikenard was used in burial preparations , incense, and selfless love as well in the Bible.
